Scientific interests
My scientific interests focus on the marine geology of the polar regions, with particular emphasis on the fossil record of climate change, carbon cycle in subpolar fjords and methane hydrates. In my work, I use mathematical modeling, dating using radioisotopes Pb-210 and Cs-137, carbon C14, determination of carbon isotopes, and geochemical markers including the XRF method, as well as geophysical methods.
