Scientific interests

My research interests include fluvial geomorphology, channel planform changes in the Late Glacial and Holocene, and human impact on river valleys. I am interested in the use of knowledge about the history of rivers inferred from geological, geophysical and remote sensing surveys for the needs of restoration projects. My latest research project reconstructed the evolution of meandering and anabranching rivers in postglacial and loess areas of Wielkopolska lowland (Poland) and Transdanubia (Hungary). I completed Fulbright scholarship in 2023. The main goal of the scholarship was the reconstruction of channel planform changes of the Congaree River (South Carolina, USA) – one of subtropical river systems situated in the Atlantic Coastal Plain.
